When to Use a Horse Blanket

Horse Blankets are very necessary for a healthy horse, but sometimes they can be too much warmth for a horse that doesn’t need any. When a horse is adapted to the climate they’re living in, their winter coat can provide enough heat. If you have your horse clipped, if its outside without a wind breaker, or has been moved to colder climates, then a horse blanket may be the proper idea to keep your beloved horse warmer and healthier. Be careful to the times when you do use a horse blanket though, they are very valuable and important, but overheating can dangerously damage your horses health.
