When to Have Movable Chicken Coops
January 1st, 2010 by admin
One of the first things you must decide on when you plan the construction of your chicken coops is, do you want them to be stationary or mobile chicken coops? Of course, each kind of chicken coop has both advantages and disadvantages. Your answer will depend mainly on the conditions in your farm, how big your poultry population is, and for what purpose you are tending your chickens. Mobile chicken coops are more suitable for small numbers of chickens, and for chickens that are still young or are being trained for a special purpose, such as game cocks. Mobile chicken coops are normally not advisable for egg-laying chickens as these chickens have to be in coops with provisions for egg collection.
