We Used Spray Foam Insulation to Sound Proof a Room

My son has the makings to be a great drummer. If dedication and enthusiasm count, he will be an exceptional artist in his field. I think that he started banging on pots and pans as a toddler and he just never stopped. To give him his own space to practice, we decided to create a sound proof room in the basement. My husband covered the walls and ceilings with spray foam insulation and then we let my son decorate the room according to his tastes and inspiration. He loves to bring his buddies over to jam and to show off his own “studio.” I no longer mind since I don’t have to listen to the continual bang of the drums.
