May 3rd, 2009 by admin

Panic disorder is a psychological issue listed in the DSM-IV.  The issues that one suffers from if panic disorder presents itself include tremendous anxiousness, anxiety, and chronic or repeat attacks.

The type of anxiety that one experiences when he or she has developed panic disorder is identified as anticipatory anxiety; after having one or more attacks the individual fears the onset of more attacks and spends and obsessive amount of time in anticipation of the next onset of panic.

This disorder can only be identified by a trained professional; if an individual believes that he or she has developed panic disorder, it may be necessary to visit a trained counselor or psychologist for a full mental evaluation.
