My Son Can Choose Between Two Health Insurance Plans

    September 7th, 2010 by admin

My son called me last evening to tell me that he was offered two different types of health insurance plans through his employer. He asked me which plan he should sign up for. I had him give me the details of each plan and explained to him the differences between them. He understood that the plan with the preferred provider list meant that he would get the largest amount paid by the insurance company if he went to a doctor on the list. He could still go to a different doctor but his insurance company would pay a lesser amount of the bill and he would be required to pay more.
