But if you want the good ‘ol time health and medicinecare, I can copy out the recipe for somebody’s favorite remedy from my 1840 Culpepper’s Herbal.. It starts with a pint of turpentine and then goes downhill from there. Not sure what it was supposed to cure, but I am glad there are better cures for it these days. Of course then there is the medical instructions to students that I have from the late 1500s. The cure for plague? Run like hell. But if you do not want to pay so much, there are countries that still have some of the rather earlier technology as their best practice. I just doubt that you will make the trip home.
