Where can I train in professional wedding photography?

I haven’t done like an A level or anything and I not sure that even if I did a degree in photography I would be the best at professional wedding photography. It’s a tough one – half of me thinks that I could do all of it without any training at all having seen other photographers at work, for example by buying a decent camera, a widescreen tv to do a slideshow (easy peasy) and even do event photography. I know I can take decent enough photographs and can do some great editing in photoshop, since its all digital nowadays, but I wouldn’t want to start it and get it wrong! Could do with being an apprentice for a bit maybe!
